Who am I?
I’m mom to 17 year old Max, and am in absolute denial over how fast he has grown up! This has made me even more aware of how important photographs are, thus the moments are forever lost…
I have been photographing people professionally for over 25 years and have a passion for photography that has continued to grow since I first got hold of a camera at age 5!
We have 3 doggies who are the absolute center of our lives.
I practice yoga and meditation daily which helps me receive the comment I hear every day from my clients, “you’re SO patient!”
I LOVE riding my bicycle, a lot. Two years ago I rode in the AIDSLifecycle event from SF to LA, that’s 545 miles in 7 days! This year I rode in the ClimateRide, 320 miles from Fortuna to SF in 5 days, raising funds and awareness of climate change and bicycle advocacy. I LOVE hiking. I LOVE gardening and farming, in fact I own part of an organic farm in Half Moon Bay. I LOVE spending time hanging out with friends and family. And I LOVE creating beautiful portraits for my clients!
What is a Fine Art Pet Portrait?
It is a timeless portrait of that captures the essence of your beloved pet. When a stranger looks at the portrait they will feel like they know your pet’s personality, not just what they look like. And your portrait will be a work of art that will deserve display as would any piece of fine art. I specialize in museum quality canvas gallery-wraps that will last a lifetime.
The Experience.
As part of your portrait creation fee, we will have a pre-session consultation either in my studio or your home to create a relationship and determine the best setting and style for your family. We will look at your home space to determine what display options and dimensions will work best for your finished artwork.
I strongly feel that capturing these beautiful, timeless images should be a fun, relaxing and rewarding experience.
My Experience.
I first attended photography school over 25 years ago, but continually study and attend workshops as the industry and technology changes almost daily. I have been operating from my Los Altos studio for over 8 years. I am a CPP, Certified Professional Photographer, one of fewer than 2500 worldwide.
See the Difference Certified Professional Photographers Make
These days, photography is practiced by anyone with a smartphone, but it’s mastered by few. When it comes to those once-in-a-lifetime moments—when you’ve got one shot at getting it right—you better make sure the person behind the camera is a proven professional photographer. There’s no greater proof than when the letters “CPP” follow a photographer’s name. They indicate someone who is putting in the extra work to stay above the rest. It assures you of this photographer’s professional knowledge and experience, while also declaring that photographer as one who has achieved and maintains a higher standard.
Consistency. CPPs know how to achieve great results—every time. You get a strong collection of images that tell your story, not a few lucky snapshots, and you will work with someone who knows how to produce a quality image under any circumstances.
Technical Skills. CPPs are more than picture takers. They are students of art, lighting, posing, fashion and even interior design. They combine these elements to create images that fit your unique style and become works of art you will treasure for generations.
Unique Artistry. CPPs have the skills to create unique, customized works of art—not cookie-cutter pictures. They follow an artistic vision. It’s your story captured as a collection of art.
Professionalism. When you hire a CPP, you know you’re getting someone who is willing to go the extra mile to deliver the best possible images. They are business owners who thrive on customer service and satisfaction, and they continuously aim to produce products that exceed your—and their—best expectations. These images are keepsakes whose stories you’ll tell time and time again and treasure forever.
Just about anyone can take a good picture every now and then. But when life’s biggest moments are unfolding and there’s just one chance to capture that perfect memory, don’t risk it. Entrust your photography needs to a Certified Professional Photographer and see the difference for yourself.
